Nordic Walking is not only suitable for any age and skill level
but also allows exercise in the fresh air and in harmony with nature. In the Tannheimer Tal, Tyrol's largest running and Nordic walking arena, there are marked routes of all levels of difficulty. A specially prepared map with the routes is available at all local information offices. Those who wish can also rent equipment directly on site.
Walk quickly along the shores of the Vilsalpsee in the nature reserve of the same name. Walk around the 1,635-meter Sorgschrofen, on whose summit the border between Germany and Austria runs. Or run in a relaxed manner on the Tannheimer Höhenweg circuit: The Tannheimer Tal, Tyrol's largest running and Nordic walking arena, offers those interested 26 delightful routes totaling 186 kilometers. They lead through attractive landscapes and are suitable for beginners and/or advanced runners, depending on their level of fitness.
The varied network of trails can be found on a specially prepared running and Nordic walking map with detailed information on altitude profiles, degrees of difficulty as well as length and duration of the routes. It is available in all information offices of the Tannheimer Tal and costs 3.90 euros. In addition, a Nordic walking course, where participants learn everything about technique, the right pole length and effectiveness, is offered throughout the summer. Test poles and shoes from well-known manufacturers can be rented in the sports stores directly on site for a small fee.
